Jackets, Backplates with Harness and Wings

The name Backplate describes a back plate made of steel or aluminum for diving.​

With Tec Diving, the metal backplate is bolted to the double device or - rarely - to a single compressed air cylinder. The buoyancy body, the Wing is mounted between Backplate and bottles and bolted.

The weight system can also be screwed in as a P-weight in the back fold, or as a V-weight between the bottles and the wing-bladder.

The shoulder and abdominal risers, also known as Harness, are also attached to this back plate. The backplate has special slots through which the straps are threaded. It usually offers additional function holes for attaching additional equipment.
