Although the HYDROS system is easily recognizable, every single element delivers an enhanced diving experience. By arranging all elements around a carefully calculated geometry, we've significantly improved stability in the water.

"Blind spots" where air can accumulate, increasing drag and affecting buoyancy, have been eliminated. An improved design in the upper part of the wing ensures easy access to your valves. Achieving a perfect flat trim is easier than ever with this wing, whether you're a beginner technical diver or have completed hundreds of decompression dives and want the safety and comfort of the best possible system.
 

Trim and Stability to Convince the Most Skeptical

Achieving a good trim and stable position in the water is often the most difficult task for a novice technical diver. An experienced technical diver uses their equipment as support rather than being distracted by it. HYDROS is designed to perfectly match the wing's buoyancy with the center of gravity of the gas in your twin set.

Regardless of the wing's inflation or remaining tank pressure, the system trim remains unchanged throughout the dive.
 

Faster and Safer Valve Closure

The last thing you want between you and your valves is the wing, slowing your reaction in the event of a problem. Valve closure and valve management have been improved by reducing the volume of the wing in the valve area and where your hoses run.

This makes it easier to route hoses neatly along the system while keeping the valves easily accessible.
 

Reduced Drag with Same Buoyancy

Wings with a smaller surface area have lower drag and are less likely to tangle. With traditionally designed twinset buoyancy systems, reducing the wing surface area also reduces overall buoyancy. But not with HYDROS.

By minimizing the HYDROS dead zone in the center of the bladder, we have reduced the overall surface area of the wing and maintained the required buoyancy with a bit of lateral thinking.

Comfortable and high above the surface

It's a challenge to develop a wing that keeps you perfectly trimmed underwater, yet still allows you to stay upright and high at the surface. Most designs push the face down at the surface. HYDROS's design ensures that the majority of the wing, and therefore the buoyancy, is below the water surface.

Even when carrying two full stage tanks and gear for a deep dive, HYDROS keeps you high and comfortable above the waves.
