My suggestions for your diving in extremely cold waters

What should be considered?

Never underestimate the added dangers of the cold. When diving in cold waters, you should pay particular attention to the heat balance and the functionality of the equipment and train regularly how to use a "ventilating regulator".

Basically for every diver in cold water:

The insulation properties of the suit must be adapted to the cold
Compulsory cold water regulator with 2nd first stage
make sure the air in the bottle is dry
The amount of lead must be adjusted to suit the suit or "bled" again
Do not dive as deep as you would when diving in warm water
when diving make a longer "feel-good stop"
check your equipment for possible technical malfunctions
dive in small groups, preferably in pairs
complete a special drysuit course
